Nýidalur & Tungnaáröræfi
Ferðafélag Íslands (FÍ) runs the hut and campsite in Nýidalur. There are hot showers and washrooms (WC).
There are no shops, restaurants or gas stations in Nýidalur.

In the Tungnaáröræfi area a hut for the Icelandic Glaciological Society is located. The hut is locked but there are at the Glacier Research Institute of Íslands cabin. It is locked, but there is a dry toilet. All information about the cabin is available at jorfi.is. Other then that there is no service in that area.
