Snæfellsskáli - Laugarfell (um Vatnsdal)
Walk north from the Snæfell hut alongst a marked trail on the side of the Tíutíu foothill („Ten-ten“ i.e.1010 m) to the river Hölkná and through Vatnsdalur. From there down to Hafursárufs bank and cross Hafursá river and proceed north to Laugarfell hut. Highlights: Vegetation changes, bright green fountain apple-moss, scenic view and hot spring.

Snæfell hut – Laugarfell hut (through Þjófadalir Valleys)
Walk south from the Snæfell hut through the Þjófadalir Valleys, follow the horse trail to the ruins of Hálskofi hut. Continue north to Snæfellsnes and over the Hafursárufs bank, then cross Hafursá river and proceed north to Laugarfell hut. Highlights: Scenic view, wetland area, vegetation and wildlife, folk tales and hot spring.
