Snæfellsstofa is a visitor centre for Vatnajökull National Park in the eastern region.

Snæfellsstofa opened in the summer of 2010 and is the first environmentally certified building in the country according to the British environmental standard BREEAM. Snæfellsstofa houses the exhibition The World Wheel, which deals with the cycle and shaping of nature. The exhibition emphasizes the interaction of flora and fauna in the eastern area of ​​the national park. In its design, emphasis was placed on allowing children to touch, smell and try out various exhibits. There is a souvenir shop in the visitor center with an emphasis on products from the local area and neighboring areas of the national park. 

Snæfellsstofa Visitor Centre is accessible for individuals with reduced mobility. A reserved parking space is in front of the visitor centre and a clear pathway is from there to the entrance. The front door opens automatically and there is plenty of space to navigate indoors. The visitor centre has an accessible bathroom available to guests. Employees have received instructions in welcoming guests with reduced mobility and are always ready to help.

Snæfellsskáli cabin is at Snæfell and acommodates around 45 people. There is also a campsite, flush toilets and showers. There are several cabins in the nature reserve at Lónsöræfi and adjacent areas.
